Regional Commercial Manager
What You’ll Do
Commercial Manager
- Lead and oversee all commercial aspects of the business, from tendering to final account management, ensuring projects meet both budget and financial targets.
- Provide expertise in facade design, procurement, and project delivery, ensuring efficient management of resources and that high standards are consistently maintained.
- Contribute to the strategic growth of the business by identifying new commercial opportunities, markets, and clients in line with company expansion plans.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Identify commercial risks early and put strategies in place to mitigate them, minimizing financial exposure and ensuring project viability.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management, ensuring complete transparency on the financial health of projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders. Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and industry events.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team, ensuring that all members are motivated, skilled, and aligned with company goals.
What We’re Looking For
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience operating at a senior commercial level within a construction contracting environment.
- In-depth understanding of facade management, including design, procurement, and delivery of complex façade projects.
- Preferably experience working within a larger construction group or managing large-scale projects with exposure to diverse aspects of construction contracting.
- Strong commercial understanding with a proven track record of successfully managing budgets, mitigating risks, and driving profitability.
- Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, particularly in relation to facades and large-scale projects, and the ability to negotiate complex agreements.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with commercial and project management software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable
- RICS, CIOB, or equivalent membership would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies related to facades and construction.
- Previous experience working in a business that is scaling or expanding would be beneficial.
