CCL Facades Completes Glazing Works On Stockport Development

Specialist facade contractor, CCL Facades, has reached completion of facade and glazing works at The Guiness Partnership’s new affordable housing development, Edward Street in Stockport.

Appointed to the £1.8m contract by main contractor Caddick Construction, CCL Facades was responsible for the design, supply and installation of a complete glazing system to the new residential building.

Work included the installation of aluminium curtain wall screens with integrated glass, top-hung vents, Juliette balcony doors, automatic smoke vents and louver and fabricated aluminium Juliette balconies.

The team also installed pressed aluminium panels and soffits to the ground and first floors, including the business’ own patented A2-rating aluminum Speedpanel, which is manufactured in the UK.

CCL Facades’ expertise in delivering high-performance and visually striking facade solutions played a key role in ensuring durability, safety and long-term energy efficiency. 

The new Edward Street development comprises 131 one and two-bedroom apartments designed to provide high-quality affordable and social housing for the local community. The development forms part of The Guinness Partnership’s ongoing commitment to deliver sustainable and modern homes across the North West.
